Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic has spent eight-and-a-half years at the Premier League giants and is widely considered as a club legend at Stamford Bridge.

Now aged 32, the Serbian hardman has certainly aged over the past season or two and will be struggling to keep his place in the first team under Antonio Conte.

His challenge to remain a starter at Chelsea has become even more difficult after he dislocated his shoulder during the 3-0 pre-season friendly win over RZ Pellets.

Branislav Ivanovic has been ruled out for around three weeks and looks set to miss the beginning of the 2016/17 Premier League season.

Chelsea fans rejoice on Twitter

Despite giving everything for Chelsea FC, some Blues fans on Twitter incredulously chose to celebrate Branislav Ivanovic’s latest injury.

He has won 9 major trophies during his time as a right-back at Chelsea, including the famous Champions League victory in 2012.

It may well be a blessing in disguise for Chelsea but to celebrate an injury to one of your club legends in nothing short of crazy. See some tweets from (pretty ungrateful) Chelsea fans below.

Ivanovic could miss the start of the season after tests confirmed the #CFC defender dislocated shoulder vs RZ Pellets earlier this week.

@ChelsTransfer why??? Why not 12 months??

— Chris (@kris__400) July 23, 2016

Ivanovic out for a month, couldn't think of better news. Aina seize your chance.

I'm never going to cheer on an injury for any player, let alone my own. But Ivanovic out for weeks has me sopping like an epileptic.

Ivanovic could miss start of the season. Best news today

Ivanovic's injury is very necessary. We won't miss him. By the time he returns, Ola Aina would have taken over fully.

Ivanovic being injured means he won't play. Ivanovic not playing means we won't suck. #cfc

Ivanovic out for 3 weeks. Good news but it would be brilliant news if that happened one day before we face West Ham.

@CarefreeDaily Never like to cheer an injury but…. pic.twitter.com/CuAoJ3kzw0

The mugs that call themselves #cfc "fans" who celebrated the injury news of one of our finest servants in Ivanovic should move on themselves

@ChelsTransfer anyone happy about this is disgusting
