Major General Abubakar Tanko Ayuba (rtd.), former Communications Minister, is dead. The senator representing Kebbi South constituency, in 2007, died Wednesday afternoon at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Idi Araba, Lagos, of an undisclosed ailment. Details of his death were sketchy as at press time, but it was gathered from sources at the hospital that prior to his death, Ayuba had been on admission at a private ward for about two months. Ayuba attended the Nigerian Military School and Nigerian Defence Academy. War has just begun – Shekau warns Trump – Shekau has declared war against US president-elect Donald Trump – The Boko Haram leader says he and his members remain steadfast by their faith and will not stop Abubakar Shekau, the leader of the Nigerian jihadist group Boko Haram, has reacted to the election of Donald Trump as the United States president. In an audio message published on the group’s YouTube page on Sunday night, November 13, Shekau said they will “not be fooled by people like Donald Trump or anyone in the coalition who is fighting our brothers in Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan or anywhere else. Nigeria is already a Big Brother House!

If you have not already heard , let me tell you about the Federal Government’ s latest quarrel with Multichoice and its show , Big Brother Naija . I am not a fan of the show and do not follow the events in the house but being on social media potentially exposes you to discussions around key moments in the show . The highlights and talking points typically revolve around sexual tension , actual sex under the sheets ( that may or may not be denied afterwards by the actors ), near fights, quarrels , backbiting , treachery , conspiracy theories, allegations that Ebuka , the anchor , is hiding a previous relationship with a housemate , etc .
