In a sad moment this is just too terrible, it saddens my heart to disclose that students and staff of the Department of Quantity Survey, Polytechnic, Ibadan were  involved in a ghastly motor accident yesterday on oyo-ibadan express way. So far, 14 out of 18 casualties have given up the ghost. The other four are in a very critical state of health at UCH right now. Nigerian students need a fervent prayer.  Let's pray for their survival. RIP to the deceased

Major General Abubakar Tanko Ayuba (rtd.), former Communications Minister, is dead. The senator representing Kebbi South constituency, in 2007, died Wednesday afternoon at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Idi Araba, Lagos, of an undisclosed ailment. Details of his death were sketchy as at press time, but it was gathered from sources at the hospital that prior to his death, Ayuba had been on admission at a private ward for about two months. War has just begun – Shekau warns Trump – Shekau has declared war against US president-elect Donald Trump – The Boko Haram leader says he and his members remain steadfast by their faith and will not stop Abubakar Shekau, the leader of the Nigerian jihadist group Boko Haram, has reacted to the election of Donald Trump as the United States president. Nigeria is already a Big Brother House!

If you have not already heard , let me tell you about the Federal Government’ s latest quarrel with Multichoice and its show , Big Brother Naija . I am not a fan of the show and do not follow the events in the house but being on social media potentially exposes you to discussions around key moments in the show . The highlights and talking points typically revolve around sexual tension , actual sex under the sheets ( that may or may not be denied afterwards by the actors ), near fights, quarrels , backbiting , treachery , conspiracy theories, allegations that Ebuka , the anchor , is hiding a previous relationship with a housemate , etc . Ebuka has been lucky though, no one has accused him of being gay . They have not added that ‘ jara ’ . Okay , back to the matter.
