FORMER CHIEF NAF GRANTED BAIL AFTER
SQUANDERING N4.8 BILLION
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC,
Wednesday, docked previous Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal
Mohammed Dikko Umar, in the witness of the Federal High
Court sitting in Abuja over claimed N4.8 billion fraud.Umar,
who argued not blameworthy to a seven-tally criminal
accusation the counter join organization favored against him,
was asserted to have utilized assets he directed from records
of the Nigerian Air Force, NAF, between September 2010 and
December 2012 to buy six decision property in Abuja, Kano,
and Kaduna states.
In the charge checked FHC/ABJ/CR/92/2016, EFCC affirmed
that Umar moved N66 million into the Stanbic IBTC account
No. 9202077424 having a place with Capital Law office from
NAF operations account domiciled at UBA Plc, for the
redesign/change of a house at 1853, Deng Xiao Ping Street,
Off Mahathir Mohammed Street, Asokoro Extension, Abuja.
The ex-NAF manager was further charged to have in the year
2011, utilized what might as well be called N250 million to
buy a property arranged at 14, Audu Bako Way, G.R.A. Kano
