Sport News: Man Utd set new unbeaten record

Despite the lack of wins, Jose Mourinho’s men’s current unbeaten run is the best they have ever enjoyed in a single top-flight season in their history
Manchester United may not be completely satisfied with Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Swansea at Old Trafford, but they will take some joy from setting a new club record on the day.Jose Mourinho’s men looked set to take three points in controversial fashion as Wayne Rooney converted a penalty awarded for a Marcus Rashford dive.
However, a stunning free-kick from Gylfi Sigurdsson in the 80th minute flew into the back of the net to secure a draw for the relegation-threatened visitors.
The draw could severely hinder United’s chances of qualifying for the Champions League by finishing in the top four of the English top flight, but it maintains an impressive unbeaten run for the Red Devils.
Having now gone 25 games without defeat, United set a new club record for their longest unbeaten run in a single season in the top tier. Incredibly, though, they have won 13 and drawn 12,
Also their 10th draw at home in the league this season, they are just one behind their previous highest tally in 1980-81.
With four games left to play, United are still behind fourth-placed Manchester City, while Arsenal sit five points behind before they take on Tottenham at White Hart Lane.
