While speaking to NTA news after the visit of seven governors to the President in London, Ebonyi State Governor, Dave Umahi, last night described the recovery of President Muhammadu Buhari as “a miracle” giving reports on his health in the social media, The Nation Reports. He said the social media portrayed the President’s health as “bad”. He said:  “Buhari walked without support to receive us and he took time to exchange pleasantries with each one of us. The self-acclaimed Mama Africa, and vivacious coach on music talent show, The Voice Nigeria, has added a new title to her many accolades for the music video to her smash music hit, “Johnny“. Video streaming platform, YouTube, has certified Ms Alade’s Johnny music video as the most watched video uploaded by an African woman. The video which was directed by industry’s highly rated cinematographer, Clarence Peters, has garnered score tons of views and hit surpassed the 70 million mark. The Performing Musicians Employers Association of Nigeria (PMAN) has accused Lai Mohammed, Minister  of Information and Culture of plagiarizing a proposal that was presented to him under the name ‘Bar Coding Technology for the Creative Industry in Nigeria’ to organize a two-day conference on Creative Industry between July 17 and 18, 2017 in Lagos. According to Ifeanyi Ejiofor, legal counsel to PMAN in a five –page petition written to the Minister, dated July 20, 2017, he the Minister to “desist forthwith from proceeding further the implementation of action plans or any item from the proposal pending when all issues arising from what it called manipulation of its original brainchild ideas and gross infringement on its intellectual property rights are resolved. Here is the new age qualification to run for a political office as approved by the Nigerian Senate during the constitution review exercise yesterday. Before now, a person must be at least  40 years  of age to be elected President or Vice President,  35  to be a Senator or State Governor, and  30  to be a Representative in parliament.

Three-year-old twin boys died after they were found floating in their family’s backyard pool on Wednesday morning, according to a police report. The Suffolk County Police said officers responded to the tragic incident in Long Island, New York, at about 8:40 a.m. after a woman called 911 reporting that she pulled her 3-year-old son, Nicholas Aurilia from her home’s pool and that he was not breathing. Police said the mother performed CPR on him and also reported that his twin brother, Anthony, was missing. According to the authorities, rescue personnel who rushed to the scene found the second 3-year-old in the pool. Both boys were taken to a hospital, where they were pronounced dead. It was also reported that the boys slipped out of their family home while their mother was asleep. The Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC) has revealed that the price of data will be changed as soon as the ongoing cost-based research is done with. The Executive Vice Chairman of the NCC, Umar Garba Dambatta made this known while speaking with the journalists. This planned development is in response to the growing usage of data plans by Nigerian consumers. Dambatta said: “We have noticed that the level of data usage is growing. This attests to the earlier assertion by the NCC that data is going to be the next frontier. “You recall that NCC attempted to do the interim price floor for data in order to ensure that we do not have a price war in the data sub-segment of the industry.  “This of course met with resistance from the consumers; and because the NCC is a listening agency, we suspended the interim price floor. “As I am talking to you, there is a cost-based study going on in order to arrive at an accepted, affordable data price floor which will come int...
